Although nutrition is vital to sustain life and needs to be a priority, it is not enough. We must “Go Beyond Basic Nutrition”! At NFF, we have a vision of a future where nutraceuticals and foods (fruit and herbs) would play a more fundamental role in health, performance and disease prevention. At the time, scientists were evidencing benefits from food and plants that support the body beyond conventional nutrition. Since the early stages of NFF at the University of Illinois Incubator Program, we have been committed to developing innovative and natural products that combine several vital and necessary components:
1. Products that contain only FDA approved fruit and herb ingredients (ie., blueberry, strawberry,
tomato, green tea, basil, turmeric, flax seed, etc.) to provide the health benefits. NO medicinal
plants, isolated compounds, drugs, GMOs, artificial ingredients or flavors are used. All ingredients
are classified as GRAS (generally recognized as safe).
2. Our scientific discovery shows that health can be enhanced by synergistic interactions between
phytochemicals within fruits and herbs.
3. Innovative and natural delivery systems to ensure the efficacy of the absorption of our health
products whether in the digestive system or topically. What good is a great product if it can never
get to the intended target in the body?
4. Products that provide health specific needs and effective for all demographics.
5. Provide measurable benefits in a more timely manner, in the time frame of days to weeks.
To achieve these objectives, we assembled a multidisciplinary team of experts to develop nutraceutically enhanced products that provide both immediate and long-term health benefits. As needs and preferences change through the life cycle, our scientists also developed a more effective approach by helping the ever-changing body to improve itself. Our proprietary formulations and innovative delivery systems enables us the flexibility to develop a wide variety of products for daily living, workplace, and even for very specific lifestyles including professional athletes, astronauts, models, among others.
